The Diocese of San Diego has established the following requirements in order to be able to volunteer in the schools: All volunteers must be cleared through a safe school environment screening through an online program called CMG Connect. Everyone must be cleared through CMG before volunteering. This process can take up to a week or longer before a volunteer is cleared. CMG certification must be completed every 5 years.
The CMG Process includes viewing the CMG Safe Environment Curriculum (training modules) and completing the Background Check. A $20.00 fee is required and can be made payable to School of the Madeleine. Volunteers who lived in other cities/states may incur an additional fee because the city/state requires a different search process.
